Bernie Mullin answers..

Dr. Bernie Mullin was on the Radio on May 4th around 9:00ish. My dad was on his way to work after a dentist appointment, heard that Bernie Mullin was on the radio, and called in.
Fortunately for me, my dad is a very intelligent man and asked a GREAT question:

What an we expect with the free agents we have and any new free agent signings?

The question we all want the answer to. After the swept, a seriously depressing time for many of us, rumors starting spreading like wildfire. Hossa was hurt, he needed surgery, we were going to lose at least 8 players to trading and because they were free agents. Then there was the negativity that followed almost immediately. Get rid of Hartley, Good Job Waddell, liked having the rentals around, why did BH put Kari in goal and everything in between. All I personally wanted to know was if the Thrashers could get back on their feet and if we were going to lose a lot of players that I grew attached to over the past season. For me, especially Slava Kozlov, who many were ready to say goodbye to.

This is what Dr. Mullin said:

We shouldn't expect a lot of wholesale changes. We're looking to getting strong with a lot of guys we're bringing up from the minors. We need to improve with Defense and improve up the center. The Thrashers are happy with their wingers and happy with their goaltending. Also. That Slava Kozlov is one player they're looking at bring back for sure.

In case you didn't hear that, just thought I'd tell you. I was more than pleased to hear about that.

In case you missed it,
Looters Jr.
