Kari is BACK!!
So, I am rather pleased with Kari being back in goal. Gosh, I'm gonna sound like such a Puck Bunny, but when he looked so sad on the bench during game two...I wanted to give him a hug. Sorry, He's like a goalie bear or something. Please don't stop reading this blog because I'm 19 and am allowed to say Kari Lehtonen is cute.
Tomorrow, Tomorrow.
Okay, I won't lie right now. I skipped my 11:00 class. You have no idea how drained (acutally, you probably do if you're reading this, assuming you're a Thrashers Fan, you'd be drained too) I feel. Seriously, I'm watching a Wedding Story on TLC and crying. Not for them, but for the Thrashers. Don't tell anyone, because I like to be a tough girl.
I have a few thoughts on Tomorrow's game...
1.) Believe it or not, I am one of the few college students that wakes up to watch CNN headline news. Give me a break, I like to know what's going on in the world. They had the Stanely Cup on one day, I was mezmerized (and I almost missed a class). Regardless, I watch it, and this Nor'Easter that's going through the NYC area is a little scary. They cancelled nearly 600 flights between La Guardia/JFK/That other NY airport. That got me to thinking. The Thrashers flight to New York right? Uh, I hope they make it there on time and without incident. Someone tell me if I'm just being crazy.
2.) I was reading an article on AJC.com, because let me tell you, Columbus, Georgia does not care about anything expect themsleves (I mean, COME ON). And this article was called "Time for Two Starts to Shine", and yes, it was about Hossa and Kovy, but it also mentioned Holik on the Powerplay...Hmmm, I don't know, but I'm starting to like that idea. I have to admit, the AJC is making me feel so much better about this. I have total faith in the boys, but I have to give props at the men and women at the AJC.
On that note, I think Hossa can step it up to where he needs to be, but it's true, sometimes regular season play does not translate to the post-season. It makes sense, but I think our good ol' boys are angry enough (I mean, come on Andy Sutton is angry enough for the rest of the time. Ah, I still love'em) to go out there and play how they need to be playing. As many people that are much wiser and more versed than I in hockey call "3rd Period Play", if we just stop waiting until the clock starts to run out, we'll be good. The boys know that. We know that. It will happen.
3.) Karma is a...well , you know. I am waiting for sweet Karma in the form of a Thrasher's players fist to smack Sean Avery in the Face. I see Thachuk doing it, to be honest. Kovy would, but Thachuk won't let him. If we can get Thachuk to do what he did to the Canadiens (I was there, it was amazing, really) to Sean Avery, I'll be happy. LIKE REAL HAPPY. We all talk about having bad luck, but I think it's a real matter of accumulating those bea-u-ti-ful karma points. Tell me if I'm wrong, but I think we've earned more than enough for two wins in MSG (Honestly, anytime I hear MSG I think of Chinese food. Strange, I know.) My momma used to say, what goes around comes around (I love Forrest Gump!!)
4.) Powerplay, powerplay, POWERPLAY. Pentaly kill is GREAT. Keep Andy Sutton from KILLING anyone (Expect for Sean Avery), and take the powerplay to this new and amazing height and it's all good.
5.) Can we PLEASE show all the NYR fans on the Thrashers' Forum that the Rangers are not going to sweep us and that they aren't fine there. Seriously though, these guys are getting on my last good nerve.
Anyway, yes, I feel like this is going to be good. See you tomorrow Fans!
